A commissioned clay sculpture by Teresa Savage, Gosport - Current bid £110

Teresa is a friend, fellow work colleague and amateur sculptor based in Gosport, Hampshire. She has kindly agreed to donate a piece of her work, to be commissioned by the winning bidder.

Teresa has an exceptional talent (although very modest) and her attention to detail is just breath taking. She starting clay sculpting about nine years ago. She has received no training whatsoever, therefore entirely self taught.

It is only recently Teresa has begun working with sand. Although very new to the scene, she has captured the attention of sculptors in this field such as Mark Anderson. He invited her down to Weymouth in June just gone to work alongside 10 master sculptors, some of whom are known worldwide. Teresa's creation, the Goddess, Nike will be on display there until the end of September.

As her reputation grows, Teresa is receiving a steady flow of requests from companies such as Gunwharf Quays in Portsmouth. They have commissioned her to complete a piece from the Pixar movie, Nemo for the beach theme they will be holding on site at the end of July.

This is a very unique opportunity to bid on a piece of work by a young woman who undoubtedly has a very bright future in the art of sculpting.

Please note: The pictures featured are only examples of Teresa's work and are not included in the auction. The winning bidder will have their very own sculpture commissioned, therefore made from scratch.

Current bid: £110 (Sylvia and Tony Champion)
